Great line:
"A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow."

But in the case of this administration, "plan" may be too generous.

Frighteningly accurate (and funny).

It's so nice to hear a measured, reasoned opinion amid all these critics blasting Senate Dems. Really, what did they think the endgame would be? Thune and Johnson capitulating? Even if they wanted to, Trump would never let them.

There are so many infuriating and discouraging things happening with this administration, but the enshittification of the White House should not be overlooked. From the tawdry gold decor to the paving over of the Rose Garden, he is just trashing the place.

As he once said, "The only way I can lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy."

A good example of this is the now three-month late state budget here in PA. According to the GOP majority in the state senate, we can't afford to fund public transportation in Philadelphia or public education in poor districts throughout the state.

During the Watergate years I had a mail subscription to the Post when I was in high school. In college in DC, I could buy it regularly, and when I moved to southcentral PA I was pleasantly surprised to find I could still get it.
After 50 years reading it, I am sad at what has become of the paper.

Great case for the enduring value of a liberal arts education.

It's sad that our lives have become one of the most terrifying episodes of The Twilight Zone.

It seems that "the assertion that 'geographic or institutional targeting' is a proxy for discrimination" is an admission that segregation persists in our supposedly color-blind society. These attempts to turn civil rights laws upside down are just appalling.

Sounds like an interesting book. I wish I could get our executive team to read it and consider some of the issues. As a small school with tight finances, we deal with limited professional development and high staff turnover.

Gates was smart and creative and had the resources to be able to drop out of Harvard. But a large part of his success came from a hard-nosed approach to business. His aggressive approach to making Microsoft dominant led to his riches.

I'd say more terrifying than laughable. You can still upend people's lives with pointless investigations and unjustified prosecutions.

The article mentions a local ordinance but also says "Electric scooters are illegal to use on public streets across Pennsylvania." It seems like state law needs to be updated to balance safety concerns with transportation needs.
