Raindrop Damascus (pattern welded) chef knife. 1084 & 15n20 steels dressed in a mokume bolster and a maple burl handle. Thanks for looking!

This was taken in May at Between the Rivers Gathering opening meeting. Twice a year I can be found facilitating events that are focused on keeping the skills of our ancestors alive, skills from our earliest tool and fire making ancestors all the way up through the early Industrial Revolution.

Just finished covering another 144 sq’ of outdoor workspace. All of my hot work for my forge, and my grinders are currently outside. This will help keep the weather off of them and make my workshop life a bit more pleasant!

One of my recent knives. Damascus steel by my good friend Daniel Olson, forged and finished by myself. Desert ironwood handle with black canvas micarta bolsters, ivory spacer, and steel, bronze and mosaic pins. Leatherwork also my me.
