I made two playlists where I remove things once I've listened to them. It's to get me to work on revisiting and discovering new music. They are growing exponentially but I am committed to the idea.

A Music Backlog: Albums I need to hear for the first time

A Music Rewind Albums I need to revisit

I can't say I've ever enjoyed a Limp Bizkit album. I think they generally are terrible and deserve the hate.

that said, I listened to Wes Borland's group Black Light Burns. Cruel Melody is a pretty solid album. Very late-NIN and I actually want to listen again. Each song had something of note.

Absolutely love Björk's albums Debut, Post and especially Homogenic, but I've never been able to crack Vespertine.

Probably listened to it half a dozen times now and I've never had the breakthrough I had for the others. I will continue to revisit though.

Sometimes a band releases an album so perfect that it establishes them into music canon regardless of what albums come after. That's how I feel about the Stone Roses self titled album. It's insane how high quality the arrangement and melodies are. 1 in a million record.

I'd argue still underrated, Hum's You'd Prefer an Astronaut lived in bargain bins (or at least I'd see it all the time) and it is truly an amalgamation of all the major 90s underground and indie rock genres: slacker, shoegaze, emo, grunge, space rock

Bowery Electric - Beat

Brings together shoegaze and trip-hop along with ambient to create something pretty hypnotizing

I also may have spent way too much for this on Discogs. For listening, obviously, as you can tell by it's frame.

I am fascinated by popular children's mascots from foreign countries. They're always horrifying and sometimes fascinating to see how they got popular. Longtime favorite of mine is Fofão from Brazil and a new favorite is Britain's own Mr. Blobby

I kind of think of my music listening in stages of my favorite band at the time. I shared Big Casino with the class (it came out a week later) but this was basically my shift from having Jimmy Eat World as my favorite over to Radiohead
