Why “not quite right”? It’s got thick, hyalinized vessels and some compact area with palisading. The cells have gorgeous processes, creating a strikingly “reticular” appearance. And it is TFE3-positive.

By IHC it is diffusely CD34-pos, shows strong nuclear WT1, and contains scattered desmin-pos cells. This is a superficial CD34-positive fibroblastic tumor. Very low grade tumor, often with PRDM10 fusions. Jody Carter, now in Edmonton, wrote this paper. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23887307/
