Well yeah, trans people have always been with us. Before, you either passed very convincingly or lived as what felt like the wrong sex to you.

It's like homosexuality - it's always been with us, because it's just part of the human condition. But society is becoming more open about these things.

That they did! They pretended that DEI is Affirmative Action (specifically the right's strawman version of it), so when they replaced competent minorities with incompetent and/or criminal whites, they had a cover for that.

Well, straight answer of course is that we elected a career criminal with no morals to our highest office, and the Senate was too craven to really question his cabinet picks.

Et un grand connard!
December 14, 2025 at 7:58 PM
Man, ain't that the truth? I can't see this country ever really recovering from all of this. Given the continued degradation of public education here, things will probably continue to get worse.

I used to think we were getting better, that racism, sexism, etc. were fading with time. Holy hell was I wrong.
December 14, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Thanks for the clarification. I was a little confused too.

So we can show more pictures of him in a walker! And I bet some ingenious soul can top that.
December 13, 2025 at 3:09 AM
Yes, Trained Algorithms is a more accurate name. Not sure most people would understand it though.

"The best walker! Nobody uses a walker better than me."
December 12, 2025 at 5:32 PM
Exactly. It's essentially a misnomer, and most people don't get that.

F***in' Andrew Taint. He deserves to do prison time.

But most people seem to take the term "Artificial Intelligence" literally, to think it's *actual* intelligence, and has unlimited potential (presumably because our computers keep improving).
December 11, 2025 at 5:07 PM
This is not an unreasonable reaction to the latest trend to "AI everything". As an IT guy, I recognize this stuff as a useful tool, but understand its limitations: it gets its info from the Internet (which should be a big red flag), and sometimes gets things drastically wrong ("hallucination").

"Snu-snu" is from an episode of Futurama, "Amazon Women in the Mood". It's a take on an old joke - for disparaging women's football, the women of the planet decree they must die by "snu-snu": death from too much sex (with them).

I actually do wish I could speak with my *great*-grandmother. I was too young to really get to know her before she died. Or my maternal grandfather, who died a year later.

Mark Hamill being a fanboi! I love it. Also deeply appreciate the humility you show in your posts.
December 9, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I wish I knew. I kinda hope heart trouble takes me out between now and then.
December 9, 2025 at 5:05 PM
No. No class. No dignity. No honor.
December 9, 2025 at 5:00 PM
I was thinking a reply like "That's ironic, coming from you", but I like your idea too.

It's more of a Sad Meal now.

There may be some question whether the EU would let the UK back in, given the way it left.
December 8, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Shut up, Elon. Europe's internal affairs are not your business.

Seriously, why does anyone still listen to this choad?
December 8, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Going out there, with lightning going off in the middle of the night and going into a dark empty back house, I thought uh oh, this is the scene in the horror movie where the husband gets it.
