Yes they are fundamentally different. Motorcyclists use motorcycles, which require no pedalling and move at the speed of other vehicular traffic.

Nevertheless, based on your assessment that vehicles belong on roads and not on footpaths, what would you say about the scenario in the attached image?

Voracious cockchafer? Heh, yeah that's what they used call me 😏 What? Oh uh yeah. No yeah it's cos I have a really dry mouth. Yeah people really didn't like it. No you're absolutely right it was-- yeah it was really unpleasant for them. Oh nah no it's still dry, people just don't-- yeah.

I almost missed it!

In the time it took me to make this meme on Friday the bus I was on (the 320) moved about 50 metres, absolute Zetland moment. Can't wait for Waterloo metro station to open.

This just about sums up car culture in one photo

Random pop up cycling thingy on my way to the station the other day! I got my bike looked at and tuned up by a mechanic for free. This is the kind of stuff beyond infrastructure that cities can do to help make cycling more accessible. They do this twice weekly at various locations around Sydney.

I ran after this rubbish truck to catch a photo of it since I've never seen anything like this anywhere else and wasn't able to find any photos online. I've seen these in Sydney a lot. It's teeny weeny and has bus doors in the cab and no robo-arm. Is this urbanist garbage collection?

Got to take one of these old boys home last week :)

Also outpaced a bus biking to Newtown Station. The traffic on City Road is really just ghastly! Ought to pedestrianise it.

This was put up at Epping today and there was Metro staff guarding the door. Have no idea why they would do this.

And here's a double decker on its way out of the Sydney CBD. The CBD has more greenery than I realised.

Just one of the double decker buses in Sydney's fleet outside Wynyard park.

2024-02-16 DSBP, Martin Place

Very soon all the buses running through here will be picking up and dropping off passengers of the new metro station at Martin Place, in addition to the existing Sydney Trains station, which currently only connects to the T4 and South Coast lines. Exciting times!

What should I do with these lmao. I have 600 of them

A dreary day at the bus stands outside Parramatta Railway Station, right in the heart of Sydney's second CBD. The volume of buses churning through here constantly left me very impressed.

Had poutine and burger at a Canadian joint in Bondi this weekend :) I personally am partial to smashed patties, but this wasn't bad at all

Carried these bits of covidiana back home from Auburn using my arms and legs, trains, a bus, and finally my bike. I would say that the constant rain didn't help, but actually I think it was better than the alternative summer sunshine! That was an ordeal to say the least. My arms feel like jelly lol
