finally summited Peaks of Yore's "Great Solemn Tempest" - a 7,464m mountain longer and more challenging than every other peak in the game combined. my successful attempt was about two hours long, and a quarter of that was in uncharted territory. my poor heart

I bought Super Mario Galaxy 2 on launch day, when I was six years old. Today, at the age of twenty, I finally completed it.

I attempted this final level so many times... it feels surreal to finally check this off my spreadsheet.

Final play time was 104:28:19 across 14 years.

(2/2🧵) This is a big endeavor, so it will still be a long time before I can announce a release date... but I do have a side project that will be out before the end of the year. Hopefully it'll satiate everyone who's been waiting for more Foreverred for now <3

Two years ago, I released a playable PICO-8 demo for a Celeste fangame. That project has slowly evolved over time into what will be my first fully original game: Goodbye Foreverred!

If you're interested in learning more, I've posted a devlog on itch that goes more in-depth: itch.io/blog/783257/...

Switched Foreverred 2's map editor from Ogmo Editor to LDTK; I am absolutely loving this program. The tools are powerful, and it's so easy to implement the functionality in-engine.
