Official account of U.S. Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen, proudly representing the people of #CO07. Mom. Fighter. Born and raised Coloradan 🏔️
As a mom, I know how important it is to fight for the future our kids deserve. In Congress, I've delivered funding for child care facilities, worked to protect health care access, & fought to expand access to affordable housing. I'll keep working to build a better future for the next generation.

I’ve been fighting back against the lawlessness of this administration, this year alone, I've helped introduce bills, pressed the administration, joined lawsuits, & signed petitions to fight back against his harmful policies.

I'll keep standing up for Colorado families.

Jefferson County has set up a help line to answer questions about the ongoing power outages.

If you have any questions or need help, you can call (303) 271-8911

Another insane rant by POTUS with very real consequences.

No, we should absolutely not being going to war with Venezuela

Happy Hanukkah to those in Colorado & across the country.
It's been an especially challenging year for the Jewish community, but I hope this celebration of light brings you hope, time with family & loved ones, & a bright holiday season.

The American people are begging their leaders to have the courage to stand up right now. When a president calls for executing elected officials, we must all speak out to defend our country and our freedoms. Read my full statement here:

So great to welcome my friend & Arvada Mayor, Lauren Simpson! Love to see my friends and leaders from Colorado here in DC. ❤️

Small businesses across Colorado are being crushed by Trump's reckless trade war, pushing small businesses to raise prices, cut staff, or close their doors altogether.

I'm proud to support a bill that makes sure that our small businesses aren't bearing the brunt of these disastrous policies.

I know this year hasn't always felt hopeful.
But when I think back on the people I've met across the 7th District, I'm reminded of the good we're capable of when we come together. You give me hope that we can build the future our kids deserve.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours.

Read my full statement on this non-deal that fails to address the Republicans’ health care crisis.

You give me hope ❤️

At 25, Josh was diagnosed with leukemia. After surviving cancer, the ACA became his only path to affordable care. Losing these subsidies could put his health at risk. Stories like Josh’s show why we must protect the ACA because every policy has a story and a name behind it.

Across Colorado, people are sharing how ACA tax credits make health care possible. After being laid off at 62, Mike faced losing coverage before retirement. Thanks to ACA tax credits, he stayed insured. These subsidies are a lifeline for thousands of Coloradans.

What’s really scary is that health care premiums are about to double and Republicans don’t even care.

Trump already wrecked the Department of Education. Now he's illegally ending what little support is left for students with disabilities. I joined 100+ of my colleagues in demanding @POTUS reverse course. I can't imagine my kid not having the resources needed to thrive in school. It's just cruel.

Is it really unfortunate, though? 🤭

I met Carol, unlawfully detained by ICE with her 7-year-old & deported to Texas. Thanks to her bravery & community support, she got a lawyer & returned home. Her story is rare, but so many immigrants face harsher realities. Thank you, Carol, for sharing your courage.

Thanks to everyone who came to my town hall to talk about the looming health care crisis. We heard from Brian, a local teacher whose premiums could jump from $6K to $18K without tax credits. For families like his, this is life or death and that’s why we’re fighting.

Amazing to see the work I did in the CO legislature come to life at SolVista Health, the only addiction treatment center in the area. It shows what’s possible when leaders work together. But Trump’s Big Ugly Bill puts it all at risk. I’ll fight for places of hope like this.

It was inspiring to celebrate the groundbreaking of Mountain Area Land Trust's new Education & Environment Center and see what’s possible when parents, nonprofits & community leaders come together to give students a place to learn, grow, and connect with our lands and environment.

Proud to represent some of the most beautiful places in Colorado. Let’s keep it that way.

Happy Diwali! Today we celebrate light over darkness, hope over fear, and community over division. May this Festival of Lights remind us of the power we have to build a brighter, more compassionate future together.

Republicans’ refusal to work with us will make it impossible for rural Coloradans to get life-saving care. Without action, premiums in Fremont, Custer & Teller Counties could rise up to 283%. This is about keeping families covered and ensuring no one has to choose between rent or care.

We must fund our government and protect Americans’ healthcare. Federal workers who keep our country running, processing veterans’ benefits, protecting airways, ensuring clean water shouldn’t pay the price for political games. They deserve better.
