Save Ukraine.🇺🇦
I understand why some are cautious. After all, it's just 15 years since a pro-Russian genuinely won a free Presidential election.

But that surely can't happen for a generation now.

Ukraine brings so much to the table: experience, drone tech, manufacturing. It's madness NOT to invite them in.

Another Ukraine commander leaves his post

Lt-Gen Serhiy Naev posted that he's no longer heading the Vuhledar tactical group. "Based on the order of the General Staff, I have completed my term as commander."

Last year, when Zaluzhnyi was fired, Naev was also removed as Cmdr of Joint Forces.

The previous video and these photos are from Kyiv's emergency services. They say 312 rescuers and 74 units of equipment have been working through the night to try to save lives and property at two sites in particular.

Six districts of Ukraine's capital were hit in total.

Another medical facility in Kyiv was almost destroyed in the night-time attack.

The Santer Clinic was only opened 7 months ago. Russia left it looking like this.

A school has been completely destroyed in the strike on Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.

A graduation party was held in the lyceum just yesterday.

Zelenskyy reacted angrily saying it's not an accident, Russia knows exactly what it is targeting.

The bodies of another 1,245 fallen heroes of Ukraine have returned home.

Kyiv says it's the final part of the repatriation following the Istanbul agreement, saying 6,057 bodies were returned in all.

However Russia says it's willing to return another 2,000+

Following the strike on a training ground in Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine's Commander of all Ground Forces has resigned.

Mykhailo Drapatiy was very popular - some will hope his offer to fall on his sword will not be accepted.

Rounding off the overnight devastation takes us to Chernihiv, where I mentioned explosions during last night's thread.

4 people were injured, 20 needed psychological treatment following the attack which led to several fires and damage to homes, shops, cars and businesses.

Rather humiliating for Trump again.
Two things spring to mind.

1-Trump didn't write the first one - carefully worded, correct grammar, no random caPitaLIZation.

2-China's response belittles the US president, with the undeniable meaning "We didn't do anything. He called. He capitulated. Job done."

Around half of the country's injured were also in Kyiv.

An 11-year-old girl was among the 22 who needed treatment after inhaling toxic fumes. Most victims were from the tower block in Solomianskyi.

In Holosiivskyi district, a building storing humanitarian aid was damaged.

Now to Kyiv.
Many media, particularly international media like Sky and the BBC are reporting 4 people died in the capital. That's what mayor Vitaliy Klychko(Klitshcko) said around 3 hours ago.

However, the local and national government both say only the 3 firefighters were killed.

Ukraine says it hit 3 Russian military facilities

Earlier in the🧵we saw strikes on a microelectronics plant in Zelenograd & dramatic footage of a hit on drone developer Kronshtadt in Dubna.

Also 🇺🇦confirms yesterday's attacked the Dmitrovsky chemical plant in Ivanovo region.
May 29, 2025 at 4:16 PM
Low res satellite photos are still clear enough to show 8 hols in the roof of Russia's big military drone designer, following yesterday's attack on Kronshtadt, in Dubna, Moscow region.

The other pic is from publicity during construction.

The accuracy of Ukraine's drones is💯

Ukraine now admits it has lost control of 4 villages in Sumy oblast. Regional governor Oleh Hryhorov confirms Novenke, Basivka, Veselivka + Zhuravka have been occupied.

All residents had already been evacuated.

However Russia also says it controls 3 other villages I've marked.

The guys at Exilenova+ are confident about the geolocation - the Murom Instrumentation Plant was the target.

Whether it was a direct hit, or shot down just before the factory, is not yet known.

However drone safari continues in Kherson and 6 utility workers were injured when this van was targeted by a mini-UAV.

It seems the Russians don't like parks - I think this is the 3rd occasion when the city's Parks Dept vehicles have been hit by FPV drones.

Britain is to give Ukraine $3bn this financial year, from profits made by Russian assets they've seized

This is a translation of a post by Ukraine's MoD

The funds will be used to acquire defence weapons & equipment, supporting local projects in🇺🇦, but also to buy overseas gear

In France, it's National Resistance Day.

To mark the occasion, a statue's been unveiled of journalist Anna Politkovskaya, a fearless critic of Putin, in Béziers, which describes itself as France's hstoric capital of the French Resistance.

Anna was murdered on Putin's birthday.

I think it's about time to unleash the hashtag #EATP again.

Everything According To Plan for Putin tonight of course.
1,186 days behind schedule in taking Kyiv and loads of explosions and fires in Moscow were clearly planned in advance by the bunker baby.

The Mayor of Moscow insists this is not serious damage and was caused by drone debris.

The Mikron microelectronics plant was NOT hit by debris.

Germany has dispelled fears today's new deal with Ukraine will come too late.

Berlin promises many of the new long-range weapons systems will be produced this year, with the first available "in just a few weeks."

Pres Zelenskyy's meeting with the Germany's new Chancellor has gone well, but most observers seem to believe he WON'T hand over Taurus.

Friedrich Merz instead says the countries will sign a 'statement of intent' to purchase long-range systems of Ukrainian production.

While I'm writing about aviation problems, I don't think this is supposed to happen either.. and this was an Angara Airlines passenger jet landing this week in Irkutsk.

The An-24's landing gear was broken, so it slowed down at Kirensk airport with the help of the plane's nose!
May 28, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Another Russian plane crash.
Now it's only a small plane & accidents happen, but it's more common in Russia due to lack of care & sanctions restricting maintenance.

The owner + co-pilot survived, despite falling short of Bychye Pole (Kronshtadt) airfield, flipping over on the Gulf of Finland.

The deal is signed!

Defence Ministers from Ukraine and Germany put their names to a €2.2bn contract for the production of IRIS-T air defence systems and the missiles for them.

Great news for Ukraine - its safety and its economy.
