Day 12: Thundercracker

After making me stumble a little on day 2 of #PetroCal25, seeing everyone's favorite doubting DeceptiThomas as a robot I can put beside his vehicle mode got me a little bit hype.

This is an interesting halfway point for the 24 Blokees the calendar has on offer.
Thundercracker times two! On the left, the robot mode! A nice blue robot with black feet, hands, and forearms and a pair of jet wings on his back. His chest is mostly gray with a little yellow jet canopy down the middle of his chest. Also got those delightfully awkward shoulder-mounted lasers. I posed him putting his right hand across his crest. Beside him is his vehicle mode, a blue jet with a black nosecone and yellow cockpit canopy and some gray details.

Days 10 & 11: Hook (Vehicle) & Megatron (Brilliant)

More baddies and I'm back to the "Is it random?" bit. But I tell you hwæt, I am going to be annoyed if I don't get my full fleet of green meanies.

At least gold lagoon Megs looks snazzy.

On the left, a gold version of the leader of the baddies, the mighty Megatron! There are little pale gold sticker or paint applications breaking up the solid gold plastic, as well as translucent gold hands, feet, and thighs. He's also got red eyes and a weird helmet frequently likened to a bucket. On his right arm is a big gold cannon. I've posed him aiming that big gun juuuuust away from the camera lens. On the right (and just behind) is a big ol' slab of green hook truck, the Constructicon Hook! The hook arm has a purple extending bit in it, which is cute.

Days 8 & 9: Scavenger (Vehicle) & Shockwave (normal ver)

Back to "they're in there randomly" because one Constructicon without the other 5 and the Devastator combination parts seems quite weird. Also, why 2 Shockwaves if you're paying attention? There again, is there a method?

Day 7: Scourge (the tracker)

Week 1 of #PetroCal25 finishes by leaving the season 1 cast in the rearview, we skip past season 2 characters (Hoist? Or Smokescreen?) and jump face-first into the '86/The Transformers: the Movie cast.

Again, assuming there's any order to it beyond what I project.
Scourge, the tracker! A curious robot in a blue/turquoise and, I think, a veeeery pale purple/blue (I think? I got the protanopia and checked with a color picker that says the paler bits have similar levels of blue and red) and a neat, kinda devilish, Dracula-ish design, with a *really* high collar and big curved wings. Also has an open right hand to which a weird laser blast effect has been attached. His head has a two-pointed goatee sculpted into his chin and on the top of his head is a big pipe/gun. He's a weird one.

Day 6: Wheeljack

"Jack not name, jack job!"

A third season one, Sunbow-ass good guy! This time, it's the heroes' eccentric engineer, he of the glowy ears and screw-shaped head.

This time, though, he's not advertising cigarettes, so that's a step in the right direction for #PetroCal25
The Autobots' engineer, Wheeljack! An adorable little robot, primarily white with black forearms, waist, and thoughts with some red and green detailing on his chest and shins. He's got some gray wings on his back and a little missile mounted on his right shoulder. His head (one of his most distinctive features) is mostly black with a gray faceplate made of thee horizontal gray bars. On the sides of his head are these big gray "ear" protrusions. He also has eyes that are a light blue. I've posed him with his hands on his hips, looking to the right. The Autobots' engineer, Wheeljack! An adorable little robot, primarily white with black forearms, waist, and thoughts with some red and green detailing on his chest and shins. He's got some gray wings on his back and a little missile mounted on his right shoulder. His head (one of his most distinctive features) is mostly black with a gray faceplate made of thee horizontal gray bars. On the sides of his head are these big gray "ear" protrusions. He also has eyes that are a light blue. I've posed him with his arms bent at the elbow as if prepping for a fight and facing leftward.

Day 5: Ironhide (Glittering ver)

Nice to be into what looks like an Autobot chunk of the #PetroCal25 with one of the classic Transformers Guys.

I'm just impressed at how much character he's got for being one of the more generic of the Sunbow designs: van front chest, simple robot limbs and head.
It's Ironhide! He's got a gun! Ironhide (Glittering ver) is a little red and black robot guy (with a blue windshield for a chest with some little yellow headlights to sell the illusion) done up in translucent red and smoke plastic. He's also got a friendly pale gray face with similarly friendly pale blue eyes. The gun I've got him holding up is also that smoke-colored translucent plastic. It's Ironhide again! He's still got a gun, but the barrel is out of frame now because I zoomed in! Ironhide (Glittering ver) is a little red and black robot guy (with a blue windshield for a chest with some little yellow headlights to sell the illusion) done up in translucent red and smoke plastic. He's also got a friendly pale gray face with similarly friendly pale blue eyes. The gun I've got him holding up is also that smoke-colored translucent plastic.

Turns out I don't hate the vehicle blokees, just the ones that aren't interesting. This little car is actually pretty fun. Maybe it's the wheels?

Whatever the reason, it's a good little 'Bee.

After the vehicle took some of the fuel out of my tank (it's not bad, it's just... eh), this one was a welcome correction.

Also probably why they got the simpler units mixed in 'cuz this guy's SO cool and has lots of bits.

Sudden realization that Bones Malock, from the Dan Schkade run of Flash Gordon is a real @anderjak.bsky.social -esque design. The way their features get rendered, the fashion choices, I dunno. Is a vibe to me.

This is some of the highest praise I am capable as Robin's design sense is hot fire.
