Perhaps, in a competition of the arts, Lotto was seeking to match that of the sculptor in depicting his model in the round. 2/3

I was there because the Urban Sketchers Helsinki arranged a sketch bingo. This picture has 11 matches - seagulls, someone wearing hat, an observatory, boat, jugend style building, someone sketching, trees, a walkway, geese, the sea, garbage bin - but I failed to get a line!

I was there because the Urban Sketchers Helsinki arranged a sketch bingo. This picture has 11 matches - seagulls, someone wearing hat, an observatory, boat, jugend style building, someone sketching, trees, a walkway, geese, the sea, garbage bin - but I failed to get a line!
This area is very popular for picnics and the biggest of them is on May Day when thousands of people join for a brunch time picnic, most wearing a white graduation cap that they have received when they graduated from the general upper secondary school.

See the diagonal lines at the bottom? They appeared once I applied color on the paper, probably some kind of grease from a linocut block that was in the same folder. Good reason to paint it again!

The possibility of creating such colorful images that could be used as decorative works of art on the wall and sometimes reach large dimensions, was particularly enthusiastically received in German-speaking countries.
