Fwiw I do rec Fedora but if the community aspect is a heavy reason for why you're considering Linux, Debian or Arch r great options in their own right (and their derivatives are also worth a look into)

I think what makes Fedora better from a post-install experience is just how much of it feels like adding to a decent base rather than feeling like you're plugging the holes in left by a husk of code employed to deliberately kick out coders and programmers responsible for maintaining your OS

Fwiw I debloat the ISO with Microwin, use a Gravedigger(TM) for activation, run Winutil + OOShutup10 to get everything sorted

Fedora is just install, run a NATTD script + fedora noble commands, get my flatpaks for any remaining programs using Discover (KDE) that I don't need syspaks for and bam

I wouldn't hate W11 if it was just an iterative fully ready and hands-off OS that actually trusted its users instead of abstractifying everything to high hell but at the same time it's also given me a load of respect for Linux due to how shit it is OOTB lol
