im at least way happier with this reference over their last one from a year ago, and yet... i curse myself, because their design changes post-campaign LOL

like, its just a sketch, but im way happier with this ref in comparison to their last one. its like night and day how i feel about it

he's also taught me how to draw scalies so... yippee!!

he's my baby boy and its been nice taking my time and chipping away at it slowly, i still have to draw his (probably new) redesigned outfit ontop of this but im REALLY happy with how his anomalous scar turned out this time

riven aurum's characters work surprisingly well in a fantasy context in my brain and its allowed for some interesting developments if i ever actually decide to make it into a comic

ive also been playing with the idea of trying to start an art centric discord server but... i'd need to make sure i have the time and space to manage something like that afdgfs

its a goal for me to get back to posting sketches and little wips or silly posts though, not just finished pieces

also im figuring out what i want my art to look like further. every time i draw i get closer and closer, and im finding myself enjoying taking my time with things since its just for me at this point.

ive been taking a lot of time to let myself process and heal from things that have happened, which has included starting to work with therapists! its all good, but its very taxing on the brain sometimes so i dont always have the energy to socialize

been taking a break from posting art in general, but especially here

end of 2024 had a lot of good and bad things happen, but my art has been pretty sparse all things considered.
