OK but what I wasn't expecting was sitting down tonight in this small town pizza place and watching three elementary school girls in hand-painted masquerade animal masks drawing the Therian ΘΔ on the chalkboard walls. "Come on you animals", the mom calls.

The kids are alright.

yeah, i mean that's true. but, like you said, it doesn't mean we don't experience those things. i've heard differing evidence/opinions on the whole being trans is in our genes thing, but i'm not up to date on all that so not denying that it's a thing for some people

i mean, i linked the specific article. i'm one person in the community and through something like a wiki article you're going to get a wider range of opinions and generally learn more. i never said i wasn't willing to explain, but i'm also not obligated!

i mean that people feel they're comparable in that the experience is similar. as far as things like dysphoria, not recognizing yourself in the mirror, feeling an incongruence and potentially taking steps to align their body with being their true self.

is discussed on the otherkin.wiki transpecies article, and i also just think it's a good resource if you want to learn more otherkin.wiki/wiki/Transsp...

i mean, a lot of people who are both transgender and transpecies experience them as similar in some ways, regardless of if they have the same origin or not. but i do agree that it is frustrating to see undue comparisons given the whole slippery slope argument. the whole transpecies/transgender thing

on a similar note, my fiance and her system had a harder time switching when they first went on ssris and antipsychotics - to the point where she was frontstuck. but now that their body has adapted they don't have an issue anymore and it's mostly if not totally how it was before

i did shift more without it, i wouldn't be in a mental state where i could actually embrace who i was, which is more important to me! but if i was on too strong of a dose or was on the wrong ssri i could totally see it impeding on shifts, i'm not surprised people experience that.

i only came to terms with my nonhumanity after being on antidepressants and afaik i've shifted way more while on them - although that could be because i just wasn't aware of it before + i also semi intentionally shift sometimes. i'm on a good dose and i require it to function at all, so even if
