While I was looking for caster collectibles that work well with Rosmontis (Long story), I found out the defensive recovery items are all alcohols.

So yes, Penance getting absolutely smashed on the battlefield in Integrated Strategies is real.
A list of skill recovery items that lets you press the funny murder button quicker. In the first half are auto SP items consisting of Soda, Liver and an aromantic by Banshees. The other half are all various types of alcohols, implying that the operators get drunk to compensate for getting hit or hitting enemies. The joke is that Penance has a defensive recovery skill, and is noted to drink from time to time. So an Alcoholic Penance run is absolutely possible with some insane luck. This was while I was looking for Rosmontis Caster collectibles, since her new (IS, because fuck you) module lets her use caster collectibles and that’s not even the craziest part of her module.

And your ground units can’t contribute to breaking it aside from a soda bottle that appears with a long timer? Very fair. /s It was horrible, I was swinging between despair and pure wrath at that stage. At least I cleared the list, so I can worry about the medals another day. I had to camp at the right side so that I could nuke that damn sheep in his second phase.

And that’s actually an underestimate because of the talents in play. Especially Warmy’s because the multiplier on that is absurd.
Warmy’s elemental damage nuke talent. Yes, you read that right. 300-320% elemental nuke on the spot the moment it’s triggered. Pure absurdity because it interacts with her attack boosting skill of her S2 extremely well. Remember, without buffs too!

You know. I actually use to fear sargonian contract assassins because of their blink + invisibility…

Until I found out you can reflect damage back at them because of their insanely high attack rate that makes them stick in one spot.

That is my wife, Penance, reflecting arts damage towards literal assassins. Bagpipe and Elysium are there because I forgot about those two. Skadi is playing Aegirian golf (read: killing that caster) in the corner, while Ptilopsis is working overtime to heal Hoshi and Specter. In hindsight, I could have placed specter in front of Hoshi, but as Bob Ross said, happy little accidents happen. It’s funnier than Penance’s reflect because it’s physical, so it’s slower and that Hoshi is essentially stalling an entire crowd of invisible assassins that way. Pure badass, that Oni. Oh, and I’m just a few pages away from her skin, by the way.

The infamous panel in which Spider-Man got a magical not-divorce because some writers couldn’t figure out how to make married spider-man marketable and fun. But hey, it beats getting a divorce from the Church. /j The amazing thing is, there are a lot of ways this actually could have worked better but we live in a timeline where this was the outcome. Personally, I find it very darkly amusing. Like, imagine the very dark satire of getting a divorce. Divorce laws so strict, you bypass it entirely with the help of a demon. The message being that the work of men can rival and exceed of actual devils or something, I don’t know. It’s just an entertaining thought with my broken sense of humor.

I got Ifrit’s burn module because:

1) it’s very sweet and heartwarming.

2) I’m investing in my Warmy and Viviana burn damage bursts.

Oh, and Ifrit gives the middle finger to a literal fire demon in a nightmare. Badass.

Yes. I know I’m using Carnelian and Fuze. I will continue doing so.
Image of Logos’ skill in action. While it’s supposed to slow and delete enemy projectiles, as seen here, it can also affect your own projectiles as well (caused by the boombox gadget). Said projectiles were aimed at the RES drone and would have damaged severely if Logos didn’t fucking delete it seconds later. Also noteworthy is the use of Fuze and Carnelian. Fuze for being a ranged AOE guard and Carnelian for existing in a post Lin module world. I use Fuze because he has physical ranged resistance and it’s surprisingly more versatile than you’d think. Plus, ranged AOE that works as AA is funny too while using up ammo. Wish it shot harder and faster, though, but lore accuracy, I guess. Carnelian mostly because her Mark of Gluttony overcharge and range is simply ridiculously fun to see. Plus, I want to see Mostima and her just filling up her overcharge skills as fast as possible.

I’m working on a Penance x Coldshot work, it’s actually almost done but I ran into some issues near the end (I suck at endings).

As for the scars, the description is inspired by Penance’s module about how she got her gauntlet (and trust me, that’s gotta hurt and leave some marks).
It’s Penance x Coldshot smut, what were you expecting? Summary: Helena saw the scars on Penance’s hands and she kissed them. I wrote that because I like the vulnerability in this scene, and it helps to contrast her formal self and private self so to speak. To put it in theatric terms, this is Penance behind the backstage and Coldshot saw the woman behind the defender she works with. The scar kissing is an intimate moment, and in a way, that’s Helena showing respect towards her lover. A gentle act of worship and lust. Truly, the relationship between two hardworking alcoholic women is special. Penance’s Module, the part I wanted to focus on the most. It really shows the hesitation, and really relays on how the path of justice is wreathed in thorns (it’s technically law, but eh…). Penance is quite the courageous woman, being able to beat the literal mafia up with a gauntlet she got mere moments ago, one that’s actually painful to wield in the heat of combat. Sure, adrenaline numbs the pain (and maybe she gained a masochistic rush from it, who knows?) but that’s still gonna leave scars that a Elafia would kiss someday. All that aside, the module really left an impression on me, and it really explains why she’s a defender. She’s a living testament to the fact that she can punish someone severely, but would afford to show mercy if she could. So she takes on a defensive role so that others may live and see justice, making up for all her misdeeds working for her familia. Quite beautiful and poetic, really.

While I was talking on a server, a friend found out this is categorized as a normal enemy and therefore, vulnerable to Lucillia’s talent.

Honestly, it’s actually quite interesting because compared to other fragile appliers, hers is surprisingly unconditional when it comes to HP.
See that enemy highlighted in white with absurd defenses? That’s a normal enemy, and that means Lucillia’s talent works on them.

That’s me being a dumbass. Fang is deployed in an area where the snow priest can target her and knocked her out. While my team is well composed on paper (being mostly physical and effective against the snowpriest), I fucked up and lost the run. And yes, that is Quartz. The red mist (holy shit, is that-) around the snowpriest? That means it got the HP buff and it’s one of the many reasons I lost this run. Very balanced, very fun. And this is on level 10+.
