Skogsrå - a creature from Swedish folklore (story in alt). Digital painting made in Krita.

There's a creature in Norse mythology called Huldra or Skogsrå (forest nymph). She's described as a seductive, beautiful woman - if you see her facing you. Her back is hollow and made of wood and bark. She's said to lure men into the forest, some never to be seen again. If you fall for her, she can make you lose your way, or reward you with good hunting if you're lucky enough to keep on her good side. Men who make love to the skogsrå are said to became silent and introverted - their souls stay with her. Even worse if they cheat on her. Bad luck and constant accidents follows such a man. As the ruler of the forest, she can communicate with animals, and is sometimes said to use the Siberian Jay as messenger and spy. Be nice to the skogsrå, but keep your wits about you. Respect her, and respect the forest. And don't tell her your name. Artistic interpretation by Petra Brandström. Digital painting made in Krita 2022.

Fierce! Originally a Smaugust piece from 2020 (for the prompt "spirit"), back when I still used Firealpaca. This is the updated 2022 version though, repainted in Krita and centered for printing.

One of my proudest art moments - this was a job for Swedish ttrpg publisher Hemlgast, to illustrate a new city adventure for their fantasy game EON in 2021. It also featured on the cover of game magazine Fenix. I love working with these talented people.
