It's a matter of information and technology. "Miasma theory" explained bad health as associated with bad smells. That's what the learned men and women of the time explained and there wasn't evidence to contradict that. Also, there wasn't technology available for fresh water for everyone.

.. rights as you, I agree you have that right to believe that. But YOU DO NOT have the right to act on that belief to make our lives difficult because of your ignorance. You do not have the right to erase us from history, you do not have the right to make us live in fear of losing our jobs, (3/4)

The African American community has fought for this, women have fought for this and those of different creeds and religions have fought for this. And like them, we will win and take our place as full citizens of our country. If you choose to believe that LGBTQ+ people do not deserve the same .. (2/4)

You CANNOT fertilize an embryo. An embryo is "the collection of cells that has developed from the fertilized egg of a vertebrate animal, before all the major organs have developed." I realize this bill might be satirical but damn, can't legislators do their research?!

To clarify, Dr. King did not make this statement in his "I Have A Dream" speech. I was paraphrasing to say that like the color of our skin, the gender we present to the world is not what we should be judged upon, but instead on the content of our character.
