We forget he's a giant. He's 100% rescued, probably great Dane. Trained only through positive reinforcement. Not even crated for housetraining. No dog, of any size, needs to be spiked or shocked. #positivedogtraining #dog #dogtraining #rewardbasedtraining

We find it interesting that the same 'balanced' dog trainers using electric shocks and metal spikes to train dogs, are the same ones using the word 'woke' as an insult. They somehow equate the word woke with being kind to animals. Surprising? Not.

Another day, another dog, another reminder that while all this shit goes on in the world around us, we must not forget our humanity. Learning about empathy begins in childhood and dogs have been our greatest guides.

Been driving down the highway in the southern USA. So many dogs on the road, hit by cars. So many free roaming dogs. Friends say shelters are overflowing. Should we be sending dogs from Mexico? Could it be doing more harm than good?

Families come in different shapes and sizes. To show their four legged family member how much they love her, they spent all day at a mass spay and neuter clinic. By doing this they give their dog a better life and improve their community. Sponsor a spay/neuter in a community that will benefit.

Our great Dane cross Beaux loves his biothane long line. Where we live dogs must be on a lead on the beach, and this is so much better than other types of long lines.

This was the first photo we ever saw of our adopted great Dane cross puppy before we met him. His mum was abandoned pregnant in the street. Did you know that great Danes are often in desperate need of homes in Mexico?

If you are training other people's dogs to come back to them by using shock collars, you are not a dog trainer.

We need to stop the cycle of pet overpopulation. Sure, if you are privileged and can choose when to sterilise your dog, wait until it's an optimum age. For the rest of the dogs - which means most of them - we have to spay them as soon as possible.
