A few people found it. The face is carved into a rocky outcropping at one of the entrances to the town. The idea came as a way to incorporate the concept seen in Graven Cairns.

This is the white-red component of the five enemy verge lands. I’ll be curious to see how these new lands fare across the myriad formats.

After confirming environmental elements could pass through the gate, I added the sandstorm billowing out. The Amonkhet cat was included to seal the deal on where the portal led, and compositionally balance Loot who’s on the left, busy chuckling at the crazy storm he just got a face-full of.

This shows a portal from the Muraganda plains to the pyramids of Amonkhet. Sunset in Amonkhet was vital to really amp up the red facet, but balancing that fierce red with the glowing greens and muted blue tones of the plains was the single hardest problem to overcome in the whole painting.

Hey, I hadn't seen this show up anywhere, but my Treasure Nabber from Commander Masters 2023 is also available as an art card. Apparently we don't get APs of these which is a shame, but oh well.
