To that end I see no conflict in Scotland choosing to be in the EU and the UK.

I didn't say I wanted Scotland to leave the UK. I want Scotland to be free to choose its own associations. I'm sick to death of being forced into doing whatever England decides.

Nonsense! I struggle to understand how you can be so pusillanimous. Scotland is quite different from England. We are much more socially aware and engaged. In England, fascists like Farage are revered by people he despises. Scots are infinitely more European than the English.

The issue of EU membership is more about global restructuring. The world is moving to ultra large groupings of like minded peoples with broadly similar aspirations. The UK is as close to irrelevant as it's possible to get.
Scotland should be independently part of the EU, not subjugated in the UK.
