Repetition Repetition emerged when Steve Caton and Ruben Garcia got together.. Fit For Consequences corrects a historical mistake of the staggeringly sick (and repetitive) tunes of this LA duo being confined to three tiny edition self-released tapes and a few comp tracks left in the 80s around LA.

Hey hey. Been awhile since we’ve dropped a new FTS edition and this one is a doozy. It connects all sorts of dots.. Repo Man, Tori Amos, Harold Budd…. You can dig in/order now from our bandcamp or Ffreedomtospend.com.

I’m up on NTS later today…. 5PM PST. Spinning a set of recent grips bc all my records have been stashed for a move.. a bit of a pro-social/road trip/grip map of my recent scrambles. Lots of wild prog-pop-dance nonsense that got Matt real hyped to see me repping. Also…. MONOLITH

Got a new one out on FTS/RVNG that’s been in the works for AGES. Richard Horowitz and Sussan Deyhim’s “The Invisible Road: Recordings 1985-1990”. Cobbled together by JAB, Richard and Sussan over several years of transfers, mixes, edits. This is an excellent follow up to their Desert Equations LP

Heads up Bluesky.. got a new one on FTS today.. a reissue of Gregory T.S. Walker’s Minstrels & Minimoogs album…. Previously only available in a micro-edition of about 80 copies available only at UC Boulder’s Fiske Planetarium around 1988.. so this music was performed with lasers, video, dancers..

Hey if anyone wants a YS shirt, I’m putting up the remaining tees we have left after our LPR gig. All sizes except Ls. Order a size larger than you usually wear bc they’ve been shrunk in the dyeing process. It’ll be on our bandcamp at 10AM MST. There are about 20 shirts available.

Got a new YS tape up on our bandcamp. Been a LONG time. Put up a few tapes just now, more tapes in the morning. Hopefully they’re done in time for the NYC YS gig in two weeks.

Couldn’t be more hyped on this lineup for the Yellow Swans makeup show at LPR in NYC. Got NIKA (aka Zola Jesus), Carlos Giffoni, Masma Dream World. Couldn’t be more stoked on this bill. Tickets here: dice.fm/event/3n6og-...

Sunday morning Dabhing. Man this new set of his work is great. The Ptahmose LP is one of the wilder compositions you’ll find for school children. I find even his most difficult work to be so charming:

Eyyyy my label buddy Jed is on the Freedom To Spend radio hour over on NTS radio at 5PM PST.. so like.. a bit less than an hour. Real journey on this one.. Keith Jarrett to Portishead with some WILDNESS in between. Love it.

New top ECM just copped and rinsed for a few bucks.. grabbed from the used new arrivals at Paradise Found.. “Medieval Songs From Norway”…. Maybe? Sounds like fresh, immaculate new-agey pop.. RIYL: Enya, Kiri Uu, Tamia/Favre.. idk it’s GOOD:

Uh.. any Chicago heads ever see Rich Corpolongo play? Got a few records of his and his vibe is SO SHREDDED. Sax player apparently mostly in a jazz space but hauled around his own sound system and used a bunch of effects and whatnot:
