Finished off the pano on E st that I started on Saturday. Didn’t end up painting most of it. Bizarro World Comics, makes a good subject. #daviscalifornia

Lovely sunny day today. Got up early to watch spurs lose/win/draw, watch the formula 1, also have a six mile run (!!!!) for the first time this year. Downtown in the afternoon, I sketched half a panorama (finish another day, Davis ain’t going anywhere), have a milkshake then go home. Good Saturday.

We were up in rainy Oregon at the weekend visiting colleges, and the big waterfall too. Spent a lot of time in Powell’s. At a lot of Voodoo Donuts.

My drawing of the Primrose Hill Bookshop also sold, which was nice. I was in that bookshop back in August, I love that area.

This pic from the leaving drinks in Camden a few days before is one of my favourites of me back then. Mostly because I could still fit into that Kappa Spurs shirt.

The scanning continues, started on the Gdansk sketches. That was a fun if short little pre-symposium excursion to a city I've always wanted to visit. I especially enjoyed drawing the tall tower in the late evening (Danzig in the Moonlight) & sketching by the river for a couple of hours next morning.

Some half-timbers in Edgware; the old Railway Hotel (a century old) drawn a couple of times, still closed up but will finally be restored I hear; plus the 300+ year old row on the High St, where Dick Turpin stayed at a coaching inn & where my mum worked in the 80s when it was an Italian restaurant

I just counted and I did 118 drawings on the whole Poland and Berlin trip. Level of details all evens out. Three different sketchbooks (nearly finished). Definitely learned stuff by doing, seeing others sketching, and just getting on with it. Some more London to draw now before going home.

Back in London from Berlin and Poland, a few days rest here, I have so many sketches to scan when I get back to the US.
