I keep hearing that the detentions like those of Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil and Tufts student Rümeysa Öztürk are unprecedented. As I wrote in @nytimes, these kinds of investigations and detentions were common after 9/11, as well as previously in US history. www.nytimes.com/2007/01/04/o...
