A benefit of spending more time in Worthing is the train journey over the Adur at sunset.

Well, although the trains are getting more expensive, at least they are still overcrowded, unreliable and poorly maintained.

Made it out just after sunrise this morning for a beautiful run. I love being in Derbyshire.

Beautiful day for a run, apart from the rain and the snow. Derbyshire is beautiful.

First time seeing deer at the campsite 🤯 they were right around my tent before moving off, amazing if rather eerie...

Looking down on Loch Etive from the summit of Ben Starav on Thursday. Wonderful day of hiking with only a little rain...

Having run 11 miles this afternoon with a mild hangover, can I assume that approximately 37 mini Pepperami are an entirely sensible, even necessary, pre-dinner snack? Sports nutrition is important, so I want to get this right.

After a couple of weeks of really frustrating, leaden running, this felt pretty good. Was I feeling better because it is about ten degrees cooler this evening, or was it eating half a packet of salami before going out? Science may never know the answer, but I am glad of an excuse to eat more salami.

The weather wasn't brilliant yesterday, but it was still a grand day out climbing my 34th and 35th Munros, An Caisteal and Beinn a'Chròin, near Crianlarich. It's been a great trip, it always is, but I am looking forward to sleeping indoors.

Approaching Gylen Castle, Isle of Kerrera. An absolutely beautiful day, exploring somewhere new.

Taken on the way down from the summit of Beinn Sgulaird. Thankfully, at this point the rain had stopped, and the fog had started to clear. It was a great day out, but the false summits were rough, and the weather didn't help:)

Not a terrible sunset this evening. Loads of midges though

The North Face of Ben Nevis, from the Allt a'Mhuilin valley. Quite a rainy afternoon, but just a couple of hours to stretch my legs after a couple of long days.

I'm on holiday in the Highlands at the moment, so it feels appropriate that my first post be about that wonderful place. This is the view from the top of the Hidden Valley, in Glencoe, taken yesterday afternoon, as the clouds cleared.
