My experience certainly doesn't cover all protesters, but maybe some of them?

Could we agree that both sides have a strong fraction that thinks:
Free speech for me but not for thee.

A memory:
In the days after 2020 presidential election, Trump had made noises he wouldn't accept the outcome, and his fans went onto the streets.
The weekend after the election, it was clear Biden had won, and I went, with thousands of others, onto the street to celebrate and to protest Trump.

My experience of going to protests is different: meeting like-minded folks, chanting together, feeling you're not alone with your viewpoint. I didn't want to punish or inflict damages.

If I stay on that exiting lane, I don't turn on my turn signal, because someone could think I wanted to switch into the very right lane, brake for me, and delay traffic.
April 23, 2024 at 8:08 PM
We have such a case:
4 lanes in total,
3 lanes straight ahead,
2 lanes exit right
The left of those 2 splits into two: one straight ahead, the other one exiting right
If you drive in that splitting lane, your turn signal could mean two things: staying on exiting lane, switching into very right lane

Maybe focus elsewhere ;-)

A math question: I've seen the distribution before, but as Lorentz-curve. Are they the same, and if yes, why now Cauchy distribution?

You're right.
Apologies and repentance count.

An epithet is an epithet if not condoned by the so called.

Already written: the Old Testament is part of the traditions of Christians and of Rabbinical Jews, and its study is part of our theology, incl. the Exodus.

If you reject Christianity, that's your call, but you don't speak for us Christians.

Not only Finland.
Germany, too, but not that extreme.

Thank you for the acknowledgement.

I wish you a Happy Passover week and a good Seder.

Thank God those 12 police officers were there with guns to helpfully escalate the situation

LOL

That's terrible.
It should be unacceptable.

Is it still common in your circles to call non-Jews goys, like non-Jews called Jews k.kes once? I hoped those times were gone, but I'm interested to hear if they actually are.

The Old Testament/Hebrew Bible is sacred for Jews and Christians, and we study it, too. OTOH the Talmud is only Jewish.

All Jewish traditions created after the fall of the temple in 70CE are yours and yours alone. Enjoy the free rein that God gave you.

Does Deuternomy 30:14 mean for you that God cannot reveal themselves anymore outside of God's word that God has already given us?

To the accusation of stealing traditions:
Christianity and Rabbis split up during the Roman-Jewish wars 66-136 (as you correctly noted), both claimed to be rightful heirs to Judaism. Some Christians celebrated Easter on 14. of Nisan as their Passover. That's not stealing but continuing a tradition.

Which translations do you find inferior? How did it support hate?

Do you know that modern scholars assume there were older Hebrew versions of the Tanach that neither Masoretic Text nor Septuagint nor Samaritan scriptures correctly reproduce? To approximate those versions, they use all old sources.

I'm sorry you had to listen to that.
Me and many other Christians (a majority I would guess) don't take the bible literally, but see it as inspired, that means: a guide that leads us in our lives and won't mislead us.

I'm interested in the history before the Exile, but we lack many data for it.

Moses was probably not historical.
Abraham was nearly certainly not historical.
Christians and Jews don't need them to be historical for our worldviews to make sense.

The Pentateuch with the Ten Commandments is a text that we still have and honor today.

In Germany, Civil Confinement can only be ordered as part of the sentencing for the crime, not after the criminal sentence has been completed.

Or, better: once, it could be ordered after the sentence, but the German Supreme Court disallowed that.

Hat man den Robert Ley damals denn verurteilt und eingesperrt?
Und haben die N.zis dann auch von politischer Verfolgung geblökt?
