For me, the key piece of Trudeau’s speech today is that we are filing the proper claims with the WTO and USMCA. I’d throw in a claim with NATO as Trump is clearly violating that agreement as well.

Wait, the price of Canadian made magazine paper was going up by 25 % in American markets today but power was the reason Irving laid off 140 workers? What an unfortunate coincidence.

CBC News referring constantly to a “fact sheet” from the Trump White House fills me with disgust. Throw in “what they’re calling a fact sheet” or something FFS.

Driving conditions on Highway 1 in New Brunswick. Road is snow packed in areas west of Saint John. Plows are out but they haven’t been scraping down to pavement. Most traffic moving at approximately 70 km/h.

If anyone in a position of power is taking Trump’s rhetoric about Canada becoming the 51st state seriously, we’d be hearing of a complaint under the North Atlantic Treaty, articles 2 and 4. The real threat would be to NATO itself if it allowed such internal strife.

I don’t much care for Trudeau or Poilievre. I do care about Canadian sovereignty and the rights of my fellow Canadians. Foreign billionaires are not the solution to any Canadian problem, and in most cases they’re the direct cause.
