Sadly tonight we report the death of WWII veteran and local bocce legend Frank 'Hambone' Malizia, who died at his home Sunday at 102. Sports Editor Ron Poniewasz Jr. profiled him five years ago.

A New Castle News staple returns in Thursday's newspaper — asking kindergarteners how to cook a turkey. Like this gem: "First, you put the turkey on the stovetop and cook him for 70 minutes. Then, when he is cooked real good my Mom cuts the turkey up with a fork and a spoon."
