I thought the same thing but this was on Control's website so it appears to be a full sequel

Mega Man reveal was lame imo. The fanfare it got just to be a new 2d entry with updated graphics and releasing in 2027 took away a lot of the excitement of the franchise returning; it just feels like more of the same. That slot should have gone to one of the bigger announcements (maybe Control 2?)

I'm loving the announcements! Next year is gonna be another banger release year

TearyHand studio has created, in my opinion, a masterpiece with "and Roger" and I'll be watching their output going forward. It also may be in my top 10 games of this year (top 5?). I hope it wins Games for Impact tonight at TGA, but even if not, I urge anyone to play it. It costs 5 bucks and rocks.

While I won't go into spoilers, the story is equal parts touching and dreadful, and while this game wrecked me during my playthrough I had doubts that it could work watching someone else play it as I would know what's coming. @blessingjr.bsky.social did a stream of it and it was JUST as effective.

While this game doesn't try to pull an M. Night Shyamalan-level twist, it lures you into thinking you know exactly what's going on, and instead of a sudden jolt of subversion, your place as the player in the game and story is warped slowly, as elegant as the creeping dissonance in the soundtrack.

The story on its face is powerful on its own but it wouldn't not be as impactful if it was a passive viewing experience. By driving the story through execution-based puzzles (thanks @blessingjr.bsky.social for that term) you become shockingly immersed in the main character.
