Did you get any prior info about disruption? Just turned up to terminal to find out there’s problems which is frustrating.

I thought that - a lot of “dead” space in the middle with the two power cars together but potentially allows to break the service the other end and service more destinations. Can’t see them doing it this side as the demand seems very strong so a 200m train taking a path doesn’t seem good value.

Slightly concerned about the choice of white for steelwork - going to need a lot of cleaning if /maintenance to keep it looking fresh.

Still feel happiest when these turn up, most comfortable of the metro fleet. Might marginally prefer a City Beam on a very hot day.

Other half got one of the new ones and the gold embossing wasn’t even straight on the front cover. Not that it affects its performance/security - just seems to sum up the situation well.

I like it but can’t help but think there isn’t much shelter at the bottom of the stairs.

Also got to see something that I’ve only ever seen on Google Earth - the incredibly short runway built for the 2008 Red Bull Air Race on the Thames. Went to see if any it felt a bit “exciting” at the time so I sort of wasn’t surprised when it wasn’t repeated.

View out of the sunroof (yes) of the SL4 at the Citibank building (my old office) which is having some fairly significant work. I know my family think I bang on a bit about this sort of thing but we are very lucky in London with our transport - some parts of the country really struggling. Sunroof!
