Quote from Leeds manager. Unfortunately for him, Calvert Lewin has among the very worst stats in league history at chance conversion, so ‘on any other day’ he would have missed just as many chances.

I think whoever controls the alerts for cricinfo has been at the cooking sherry these last couple of weeks - every five minutes is seem to be getting an alert on Washington Sundar… he’s brushed his teeth, he’s having a cup of tea. Why would I be at all interested? #cricket

Always amazed by how often in England home matches you can hear the players shouting to each other. You never hear this in Prem matches #nufc #engand

Came to watch Woltenmade, staying to watch Sauer

Is there an #nufc Feed on here which isn’t just all Liverpool news? I’m really struggling to find one.

I’m happy flipping Isak for Wissa and Woltemade - that feels like a much less risky proposition from injury pov than the Isak/wilson combination of recent seasons where at least one of them always seemed to be injured. Between them the two W’s have only missed 8 games in 3 years.

If we get another prem league level striker in today NUFC will had a decent transfer window. But this will be despite rather than because of the way the club is run - serious lack of experience at top levels of club.

Whilst I'm sure a lot of team building benefits to Durham's tour to Zimbabwe, feels like they may get more out of it from a cricking POV playing stronger opposition www.espncricinfo.com/series/durha...

Whilst it’s true Bryson Carse’s fc record is modest, I would point to the time of year FC is played - green tops in April aren’t exactly the best showcase for a bowl it halfway down the pitch bowler, and he’s often not bowled that much given Durham have high quality options for those conditions

Very sad that JG Windows in Newcastle Central Arcade has closed today for good. I’ve bought 3 guitars there, including my first ever electric. Although Newcastle still blessed with other guitar shops sad to see the demise of an icon.

As one of the many newcomers here I’ve quickly learned to avoid the ‘discover’ tab. That seems to be fucked to pieces - currently seems to be entirety made up of Americans talking about their breakfast. But once you’ve found out who you want to follow much nicer vibe than that other place.

Before everyone gets on their high horse about the Premier league vote I would ask whether NUFC fans really want to be on the same side as Man City in all this : aren’t they the epitome of what we don’t want football to become?

What have I done to make Bluesky think I’d be interested in Liverpool FC content, and how can I tell it I really am not

Lee Dixon has slipped into the Mark Lawrenson perfectly - nothing of any interest to say, just snarky cynicism
