It's bad enough when a president is power-grabbing all over the government, but to see it extend into historically bipartisan cultural centers feels especially dangerous.

(that is, Dems-- or whatever non-maga Republicans might be left-- get painted as "refusing to pay" the people who take up the offer, if they don't want to go along with whatever budget proposal comes up for a vote)
