PostDoc in environmental seismology. Looking at seismic methods to interrogate groundwater, glaciers, and volcanoes.
Excited to announce that our article on seismic velocity changes at Mount St. Helens is now freely accessible, following the embargo period. (1/5 - see further details in comments)

You can read the full open-access article on GFZ's repository: lnkd.in/gjZ5TzFR

Our paper describing SeisMIC - a software suite for ambient noise monitoring was just published in @weareseismica.bsky.social, head there if you're interested or diving into velocity change monitoring using ambient noise yourself.
Makus & Sens-Schönfelder introduce SeisMIC, which enables end-to-end processing from raw data to a velocity-change time series.

They show how it not only allows for spatial imaging, but also how it is highly efficient, adaptable, and user-friendly:  seismica.library.mcgill.ca/article/view...

Only 6 days until submission deadline for #EGU24.
If you are working with ambient seismic noise or seismic interferometry , join us for session SM 5.2 "Ambient Seismic Noise and Seismic Interferometry ". Excited for all the new science!

I am currently en route to #AGU23 where I will be presenting our work concerning ambient noise interferometry at Mount St Helens. If you are interested in spatial imaging of velocity changes with variable data quality hit me up at S23D-0400 or send me a DM, so we can meet there. Hi Bluesky btw 🙂
