There is a similar difference between little-d democratic and big-D Democratic. Big-D Democratic is a political party. Little-d democratic is an ideology wanting govt to do the will of the people.

I agree. Little-c conservative is wanting to maintain things the way they are. Big-C conservative is a specific political movement that is no longer little-c conservative.
