Could you imagine the outcry had they been wearing Blue Jays hats. Trump would he deporting them tomorrow.

And they should cut overall delivery to the community mailboxes to 2 times per week. They should also close their post offices and contract that service out to private businesses. These 2 additional changes would allow them to eliminate at least 20 thousand jobs.

Was married there 30 years ago on this day. A special place.

It’s a “bait and switch”, which goes along with telling you the delay in your flight is related to NAV Canada tower shortages, when all other airlines seem to he able to land on time.

Wow, a very nice piece. Love it. You have such talent.

I agree. But all it takes is for POTUS to level a $5 million fine on every cruise ship leaving a US port and visits a port in Canada, to make those boats to sail on by. While stopping in a Canadian port is awesome, Alaska is the main attraction.

I hope that Premier Eby takes a lesson from one of my dad’s favourite sayings. “You can’t pick up the clean end of that stick without having to deal with the dirty end”. Cutting our noses off despite our face.

I predicted this would be the response to this road tax. The cruise ship industry is expected to drop $900million in the Vancouver economy. Not to mention what the city of Victoria receives in tourist spending. It’s a dumb idea.

Maybe Ford should bring a box of Timbits as a gift for Trump. Not a fresh box, but some “day old” ones.
March 12, 2025 at 3:02 AM
Just think about that one for a minute. There are 300 Alaskan cruise ship stops in Vancouver this year. Each visit brings $3 million to the Vancouver economy. One POTUS executive order setting aside the Jones Act requirement, and all those tourist dollars go down the drain.

Trump is going to put a tariff on our hockey sticks now.

You could say that I’m a news junkie. But the “all Trump, all the time” on our Canadian radio stations, and TV news channels is really getting to me. I never thought there would be a day I would have to tune out 90% of my news time for my mental wellbeing.

Spiced Rum has always been one of my favourite drinks. Given how much I enjoy your versions of Gin and Vodka, I am absolutely looking forward to stalking up with this one in the near future.

Is it true that if a US company opens up a branch office in BC, they will he able to bid on these contracts?

And Vodka too. It’s the best local product around.
February 2, 2025 at 4:44 AM
It won’t. Nut it serves as a good scapegoat.

I wouldn’t count on it. We are famous for allowing criminals, terrorists and all other variations into our country. Our government even offer them financial support while they are here.

Saw a YouTube video where the marketing people at Harbor Freight are saying that the 25% tariff on the 85% of their stock is going to really hurt business. So, their solution is to negotiate deals with Canada & Mexico who are trusted partners. Little do they know we are in the same boat.

Would you still use them if they were flat? If so, hang on to them and I will flatten them for you.

I gave up trying to rationalize anything that man does or say a long time ago. We are his entertainment. Not very statesman like from the premier of Canada’s 11th province.

I feel for you. I got an email from Canada Post advising the negotiations are still far apart. I hope that you can find an alternative.
