I'm bothered that they took away the hug emoji. Consider this a hug.

One observation about the loss of the hug emoji: In their drive to psyop stick it to the Zuck, they're also creating a counter effect of diminishing our joy, which to me (as you clearly appreciate) seems counterrevolutionary.

Looks like it just has to be broken into little bite sized chunks, which does suck for my compulsion to copy and save these spontaneous essays that result from such quality interactions. It feels like a psyop, like we need to just be content with collars and leashes, rhetorically speaking.

When I read that both the exclamation point and the question mark were modeled on the posterior views of the alert and inquisitive cat, I figured that emojis are at least as legit as punctuation, and I have embraced them wholeheartedly in my writing, even professionally.
