But he didn't actually say what you said. What he did say he supports is reasonable. The Ukrainians have to walk a fine line to keep in Trump's good books. They don't have the luxury of speaking their minds on this.

I rode one of those here in Prague today. I hope to see them in your beautiful city before too long.

I wonder who he’s referring to? :)
December 22, 2025 at 12:07 PM
Wow! How many fighter jets have they destroyed now in the past week or so? Is it 5?
December 22, 2025 at 8:17 AM
I think the bullets will be for air defence, so they aren't a risk in themselves. I'd be most worried about them not hitting the drones they're presumably aiming at.

Yes, that is possible if the US continues to give Russia mixed signals AND if Europe doesn’t support Ukraine as much as they need to. If they seize the €140B of Russia’s money held in Belgium, then that will put a serious dent in Russia’s plans.
December 1, 2025 at 8:05 PM
The 28 point plan is essentially Russia’s plan. They know full well it is unacceptable. The reality is that more talks and proposals won’t stop this war. That will only happen when Russia is convinced it can no longer win. It is fantastical to believe a peace deal can be achieved in the near future.
December 1, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Appeasement NEVER works. The solution is to arm Ukraine appropriately, whilst simultaneously weakening Russia as much as possible so that they see they can’t win. Give in now and Russia will just come back even stronger later, as they have always done.
December 1, 2025 at 3:48 PM
It’s in their original 28 point plan, which Trump said was written by the US. Ok, it was actually written by Russians, but he endorsed it, and therefore endorsed the forgiving of war crimes.
December 1, 2025 at 3:29 PM
That’s exactly my point. The timing of this suits the Russians perfectly. Of course, Zelenskyy should have dealt with this a long time ago …
November 28, 2025 at 7:23 AM
As much as I want to see corruption rooted out, you have to wonder about the timing of this - absolutely perfect for the Russians.
November 28, 2025 at 7:04 AM
Complete fantasy from Trump. It must be incredibly frustrating for everyone else to have to indulge his stupidity just to keep the US onside. At some point, I'd imagine someone will tell him to shut up and let the adults work this out.
November 25, 2025 at 7:55 PM
The German involvement is separate to Firepoint, as I understand. As for Pompeo (who I'm not a fan of), he is just in the board and doesn't have executive control. It's a sensible move (IMO) to have someone like him there - helps keep Republicans onside.
November 24, 2025 at 11:02 AM
I think that’s a little harsh. If it’s true that they’re helping to fund and support development of long range missiles within Ukraine, that will turn out to be a lot more valuable long-term.
November 24, 2025 at 9:33 AM
I really hope something comes of this and I know many Republicans strongly support Ukraine. But I wouldn’t bet my house on it. I really hope Europe has been preparing for this moment - Trump can’t be trusted.
November 22, 2025 at 10:51 AM
I agree, but they won't go against what Trump wants to do, unfortunately.
November 22, 2025 at 6:46 AM
Are you referring to the Graham/Blumenthal bill? That was never put before Congress, although it is being talked about again. But if they pass it, there will be a provision that lets Trump do what he wants, so I don't think it will help (unfortunately).
November 21, 2025 at 9:14 PM
The problem is that Trump will likely let them off the hook before then. No doubt this is why the Orcs are pushing for this sort of 'deal' now.
November 21, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Probably not, but they can’t afford the current trajectory either. It is totally the wrong time to give in to them.
November 21, 2025 at 3:42 PM
Could be that they are considering mass mobilization.
November 21, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Yeah, but they could do with more of those as well!
November 17, 2025 at 12:47 PM
I think you meant the Gripen. I assume that Ukraine intends to purchase both of these planes; they will ultimately replace all the other fighter jets.
November 17, 2025 at 12:24 PM
FYI, Babis is a populist. The previous government was actually led by a right-wing party.
November 6, 2025 at 9:34 PM
I didn't vote for Babis, or anyone in the new government. I think you need to study up on what 'all means. And plenty that voted for Babis also support Ukraine 0 they just value other things more. But I personally would never have voted for him - supporting Ukraine is my number one issue.
November 6, 2025 at 9:33 PM
That said, what an odious cunt this guy is.
