Wholeheartedly agree.
Maintaining interest rates prolongs the financial strain on households + businesses, exacerbating mortgage pressures and hindering essential investments. With wages finally rising after years of stagnation, it's misguided for the Bank to treat this as a problem. 1/3

Due to the impact of various tax and benefit policies, increases in the minimum wage do not have an entirely progressive impact on household incomes.

This is the result of some benefits being withdrawn and more taxes being paid as earnings rise.
