I was pleasantly surprised by it too. It was a fun ride from start to finish, id say it's one of the better movies I've seen at a cinema this year.

You'd be fine, there are some people who take it seriously but the majority of people are just there to hang out.

I feel like you have to be drunk to fully enjoy smash bros. And honestly, looking back, playing with mates beats the serious tournament vibes.

I feel like you have to be drunk to fully enjoy smash bros. And honestly, looking back, playing with mates beats the serious tournament vibes.
Best thing about DoA is the "totally realistic" bounce physics.

Honestly it's never too late to start, in my experience all of the communities are really welcoming. Especially Dead or Alive for some reason.

I went to a fighting game tournament once and the coolest people I met were from New Zealand and Canada.

The older episodes definitely have a different vibe, but you've been nailing it for a few years by this point.
Side note, as gamers I need to ask, have you guys checked out the Stubbs the Zombie soundtrack? Some cool covers on there, would have been great on the Earth Angel episode.

I really like Ill Conceived. Presenting the past in one episode and the present in the next is a good way to remind us that these groups have existed for a long time, and that they shouldn't be ignored today, because we've seen the damage they can do if they become powerful enough.
