I promise you: the US healthcare system, and privatized medicine as a whole, is horrible. If you’re well off, it sounds great (for you) until you lose your job, get an expensive medical condition, or need to find a doctor your insurance covers. This is bad.
The purpose of Alberta’s Health Statutes Amendment Act is to destroy public health care as we know it.

Not just in Alberta, but throughout Canada, by legislating two-tier health care. @djclimenhaga.bsky.social writes. #abpoli

I just picked up the exclusive comics for people who back our Kickstarter campaign next week, and they look SO GOOD! I can’t wait to hand these out at our launch event!

Our local queer bookstore needs your help! Vancouver is a tough place to run a small business, and @crossandcrowsbooks.bsky.social is a really wonderful local gem. If you can spare even a small donation, please do! gofund.me/9b02aad71

Step 1: post on the @shrimpcult.press account. Step 2: like from my personal account. Step 3: switch back to work account, get excited that someone has already liked and reposted. Step 4: realize it was me, and I literally just did it. Step 5: Feel silly.

Happens every time.

Living in Vancouver, this sounds like a great deal to me. Look at all that space! I’ll take it.

To my Republican colleagues, the Vice President is spitting in your face and openly flouting your constitutional authority.

Time to decide if you came here to be a Member of Congress or a cheerleader for whatever Trump wants.

My biggest complaint about Tron: Ares is this: It’s tough to get from North Van to downtown in 20 minutes, and there’s no way you’re making it from the Port Mann.

Food manufacturers make food of low quality, high appeal, and extremely cheap, which leads to an obesity epidemic. Pharmaceuticals swoop in with GLP-1 inhibitors to correct eating habits. For every artificial problem, there’s a solution you can pay for. Hooray.

I don’t feel old, I’m just acutely aware of the fact that everyone else is very, very young.

Is Telus internet down for anyone else in the Vancouver area? DownDetector is showing a lot of reports, but Telus’s outage status only reports a single outage in North Van.

The poké place on UBC campus (the only *good* one) is CLOSED for reading week, and I consider it an affront to me, personally.

I’ve been off Twitter for so long that… I think I actually enjoyed Twitter? Weird. Anyway, I mostly post on @shrimpcultpress.bsky.social now, since that’s my business account, and posting for work feels more important.

Day 3: Path. I wasn’t going to do this today. Been a long day, and the Instagram algorithm is more crap than I thought. Might switch prompt lists and hashtags soon. But here is a drawing of my dog following a train of popcorn.
