Got my Grandad's war medals from the MOD. Don't know what happened to the originals, So I applied for the replacements from the MOD. They arrived yesterday. Lance Corporal, Dennis Curling was awarded The 1939-45 Star, The Italy Star, and The war medal, for his service in REME

Today is 29th August and in Sainsbury's we have Panettone, mince pies and Christmas puddings. They all have use by dates long before Christmas.

Today I made a bread pudding. Pure comfort food. Always reminds me of my Nan, who used to make lovely bread pudding when we were kids. And my sister used to make a wicked bread pudding. So this always reminds me of them. Trouble is once I start eating it, I can't stop
