Chelsea’s Cheyne Walk Trust yesterday marked the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Chelsea Embankment by planting a mulberry tree in the Chelsea Embankment Gardens.
Wielding the spade was Sir Peter Bazalgette, great great grandson of Sir Joseph Bazalgette, who created the Embankment in 1874.
