THE WILD ROBOT stomped into theaters 1 year ago! A kid recently told me they flew thru the book in about 90 minutes, less than the runtime of the movie. So if u had time to watch the movie I hope you can find time to read the book that inspired it!

In The Wild Robot book, I describe how Roz stands out against the wilderness before gradually becoming wild. The filmmakers at @dreamworksanim.bsky.social treated Roz in an increasingly painterly style + by the end she fits right in to the painterly backgrounds. It's a brilliant use of animation.
