They already started this. It seems unlikely that whoever survives from David or Mark survives another roundtable; half the group would still think whoever is left is a traitor. If Mark goes, Joe M becomes a target as he led that charge. If David, harder after Mark. In between I'd murder Joe W

There's also the assumption that they know each other equally well. They clearly don't and that disparity between those they know well, those they may have met professionally, and those they don't know from Adam, is having an influence too

More because the Soviets - to the amazement of everyone - agreed to end their occupation and leave Austria when it was proppsed to reestablish it as a sovereign state
