By continuing to block it, the Republicans were forced to own their actions. Now they can continue as they were without any hindrance.

SNAP being cut was not caused by the shutdown but by Trump, and Trump can still cut or disrupt SNAP. Now the next thing that comes along people won't have food, the people previously fired won't have jobs, they wont have healthcare, and the Democrats will continue to cave.

Nothing was gained here
November 11, 2025 at 12:35 AM
I’m saying primary them all, how is that “getting in line”?
November 10, 2025 at 11:51 PM
Starts with an “M”, and it ends with “oney”
November 10, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Fuck that shit. This was the fight, and you guys backed down. You’re doing it right fucking now by not condemning these assholes. We don’t need more unity we need better leadership
November 10, 2025 at 11:42 PM
No in true Dem fashion we ignore the ones we can do anything about and run the same damn platform worth the same damn people for decades.

And you’re missing that ACA subsidies are far larger per person than SNAP, and will now not go out, so this excuse is meaningless.
November 10, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Then go after the party leadership that let them know it was fine. We all know what’s going on here, it didn’t just happen that way by coincidence it was planned
November 10, 2025 at 11:31 PM
No they’ve learned quite well that people will continue voting for them, because these are the same damn people as back then. We need to primary them everywhere
November 10, 2025 at 11:27 PM
You can safely ignore the desires of anyone saying cynical bullshit, cuz what are they gonna do about it?
November 10, 2025 at 11:20 PM
This meme isn't the establishment, it's us when we don't back or run as progressives who will actually fight. Now we are in primary season people need to act like it!
November 10, 2025 at 9:43 PM
“Well…you have to go back to…” are the universal words of a failed politician explaining why they fucked over their constituents. Real politicians don’t say shit like this, their actions speak for themselves to the people, this is the language of a worthless snake
November 10, 2025 at 2:41 PM
God I fucking hate these people. They are so fucking bad and they are going to be the death of us all. He talks like he’s just heard about all this.

PEOPLE! SHOW UP TO THE GOD DAMN PRIMARIES!!!
November 10, 2025 at 2:34 PM
We are in primary season. Rail against the voters all you want, but if this same geriatric and corporate crew stays on the ballot we will get Trump and MAGA again. Might not even happen in 2026, but if they win and fix nothing apathy will come back worse.

They need to primaried everywhere!

Dr Pepper could go a long way in my eyes if they suddenly became the social media account dunking on RFK with real medical knowledge
November 7, 2025 at 1:32 AM
That’s fucking nuts that some guy tried doing that to the President of Mexico
November 7, 2025 at 1:24 AM
Are you still going on about unchecked extrajudicial killings!!! Where were you when you were protesting this same thing when we did it in our earlier illegal wars!!!
November 6, 2025 at 3:22 PM
People like Elon have forced a false dichotomy on the public with boosterism of individual transportation that displaces viable and drastically better public transportation options. It’s missing the point to treat the idea of AVs in isolation, or miss the AVs we’ve always had: trains

It’s kinda like building oil pipelines. They’re much more efficient and environmental than trucking oil around everywhere, but not better than not using oil at all. So when we oppose pipelines, or “clean coal” we aren’t saying “Don’t make it better” we’re saying “Don’t ignore the alternatives.

We have all the physical requirements, what we lack is the empathy, the willingness to see big changes for the sake of helping strangers as worthwhile.
November 2, 2025 at 2:39 PM
It would be far easier in a practical sense to feed an extra 10 million people in a modern western city with extensive road and rail networks than in poorer low infrastructure areas they might come from. And if there were actual desire in such a fantasy scenario, housing also would be easier
November 2, 2025 at 2:39 PM
It’s kinda crazy when you stop and think about how many more resources every modern society has than their predecessors, and yet the issues that we are most able to solve we have the least imagination about. The entire world population could be fed without serious difficulty, but we invent obstacles

It’s more like “If you vote for me, I promise I will brutally murder all of you, but don’t worry I will only eat the black sheep”
