Me too! Only noticed after it had started, just reached the bit where they're getting wasted on Vip

There's a coincidence! Double bill on BBC2 today; Lover Come Back and Pillow Talk.

Pillow Talk is great fun. But Sinatra > Hudson, so...

Big yes to Doris Day films. My absolute favourite is Young at Heart, this has reminded me it's due a re-watch.

So it is! In my defence, there is a little bit of a resemblence between them.

As well as you and Gina, I recognise Helen McCookerybook. Some of the other faces look familiar, but I'm struggling for names, unless that's Louise Wener top left?

G'night! Sleep well.

But, as to be expected, the lawyers who *did* include the relevant facts in the original document were the ones who suffered consequences. Dozens of things have happened under Trump any one of which would have brought down a president prior to 2016.

How did you manage that? This one *nearly* put me flat on my back. 😉

...your wits about you, we had to run a few times and took a few blows (Reading, Liverpool, Wolves). Last match I went to a week before starting university (never actually got to the ground) was Birmingham away. I was hospitalised with a broken cheekbone, two of us jumped by a gang of about a dozen.

I barely missed a game at Villa Park between 1976 and 1988. It was generally OK if you knew where to avoid but...Millwall, West Ham, Chelsea, Blues and Leicester were violent events. Rangers, Battle of Villa Park, *friendy* match abandoned due to rioting Glaswegians. Away games you had to have....

Totally with you on that, Marie. My only notable exception is records; second hand off Discogs or eBay, new releases direct from the artists where possible. They get more of the profit that way.

Even if the bubble bursts, the genie is out of the bottle and can't be put back.

I know! Roy the car dealer. Coincidentally appears in Lovejoy on the U & Drama TV station right now.

When I was a university lecturer (retired a few years ago), the English language ability of, in particular, students from Poland and the Baltic states was way beyond half of the British students.

They have to be at least 50 years old; BEA merged with British Airways in 1974.

Some of them know when you need them. When I had a breakdown four years ago, eldest cat moved out of daughter's room & started sleeping with me. Now he's back with her (they worship each other) unless I'm having a rough spell, then he's back with me. Younger cat just seeks warmth and convenience.

No. I'm a retired academic in my 60s and if I stopped learning new words (and lots of other new things) it would be a cause for concern. Learning is lifelong (or, at least, it SHOULD be).

Figures. He was a dirty old dog, was Sam.

I didn't in the 1980s/early 90s. No confidence. After 30 years in academia, I think I'm capable of doing what I wanted to do back then. But it's not back then anymore. No NME. No Melody Maker. Just chunky magazines mostly the preserve of long-established former music paper journalists 😕

This applies when you have the job too. I was shocked by how few of my colleagues didn't know the names of the cleaners and porters with whom we often interacted.

I'd join in with that, whenever I had anything to contribute. Currently enjoying Series 8 of The Goons, the Briers and Hordern Jeeves and Wooster, and Clare in the Community. The Cabin Pressure box set lives in my car.

I wanted to be a music journalist. Unfortunately, despite having a depth of knowledge, the inability to articulate any of the few insights I had proved to be a barrier😔

Oh, and should add, I love your research. It's fascinating, especially the kids' stuff much of which chimes with my childhood.
