Working class applies to everyone who gets up every day and goes to work for a living, non-working class includes old age pensioners, those with disabilities, and the unemployed. I don’t want to go to “war” with these people.

You calling the demographics “classes” doesn’t make that the definition. The word has always been associated with; lower, middle, upper, and working classes - not poverty vs wealthy. It’s more nuanced and the old definitions aren’t helpful.

I didn’t suggest ‘don’t fight back’ at all. I suggested that evoking an artificial ‘class war’ is divisive. We need to unite all those who are fighting for a more equal society and we need to know who and what we’re fighting against. It isn’t class and hasn’t been for years.
November 18, 2025 at 4:54 PM
That's right vs left nothing to do with class.
November 18, 2025 at 3:20 PM
There is no 'class war', it's nothing to do with class and hasn't been for decades. There's only right vs left, and it's not a war when one side is being mowed down.

He never saw the 'Whites only' signs in apartheid South Africa? I think Mr Musk is telling porkies, like his far right, racist son.

“Class war” - isn’t there enough division in society?
November 18, 2025 at 11:15 AM
Well said, Ellie. 💚

You might need to unpack that Rev. It makes no contribution whatsoever to point being discussed and is an unfounded claim on its own.

Perhaps you’re too young to remember pal. But there’s no excuse for failing to research.

Lol.

That's a guilty 'yes' then, I thought you would do what you complain about others doing! 😉

At least - an explanation I understand! 🙏

Did you read my question? Do you ever use search engines?

As I hadn’t stated your replies in this thread used search engines, your question was based upon a false premise.

Neoliberalism European roots - doesn’t mean that resulted in widespread adoption in EU as opposed to UK influence. Same as PFI roots in Tories didn’t result in widespread use by Tories, Labour did that.
November 17, 2025 at 9:10 AM
So you never use a search engine eg Google?
November 17, 2025 at 9:07 AM
PFI was a Tory idea but Blair’s government implemented its worst excesses.

I’m not ‘appealing to an authority’ anymore than you do when you use a search engine like Google. AI simply collates what’s already out there and summarises. If you can’t find an argument against the message, don’t blame the messenger.
