This winter wet season was extremely dry on Maui. We have had a little bit of an uptick in moisture over the last few weeks including this morning. Not enough to dent the drought, but it made for a pretty sky this morning.

Ginormous backyard avocado. Don’t know the variety as it was on the property when we bought it. The biggest challenge with this type is gravity. It can blow off the tree before the oils inside have matured to reach peak flavor. As they reach maturity, they can detonate on impact when they fall. 🌱

The garden has been an important sanctuary over the last six weeks. This bee happily buzzing around the borage cooperated by finding one of the blossoms illuminated in the dappled light. 🌱🐝

It takes about three weeks for my Jaboticaba tree to go from flowering to fruiting. I usually bears fruit about four to six times a year. 🌱
