Dinner tonight was turkey, ham and leek pie with the Christmas leftovers. Not a soggy bottom in sight, it was lush. Spring onion mash on the side

It’s just me, Hils and Robby tonight, the menu will be three bird pate with assorted crackers and pickles then a ‘carbonara’ style pasta dish with Stilton rather than pecorino and lastly a panettone bread and butter pudding with ice cream. Happy new year to all my family and friends 🍾

We’ve both had this nasty old Fluey thing for the last couple of weeks, Hils is all but over it and I’m nearly there (still got a really hacking cough), so I’m feeling a little poorly prepared. However the traditional Christmas terrine is now in the oven and the gammon will be going on shortly.

The first Toffifee of the Yuletide season. Between us this box didn’t last very long. At least I’ve got my sense of taste back now the flu has eased off a bit.
