Any remnants of #cartwitter ? What’s the going rate for a car shoot these days? I take photos of buildings but off the back of a car shoot I did a couple years ago I’ve been asked to do another. DM me if you don’t want o disclose publicly.

@evmusings.bsky.social I just listened to the podcast about going back to ICE. I’ve been borrowing my wife’s petrol car as I had a few long trips for work (Cairngorms from Wetherby) and it’s cemented the feeling that we really need a second EV but with longer range. Looking for a PFL 62kWh MG5

Camera reviewers, how small are your hands?! This Nikon J5 just landed (courtesy of mbp) and it’s waaay smaller than I was expecting. Here it is next to my workhorse! It genuinely feels like a toy.

They’re filming a Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson film in town at the minute. I believe it’s a Christmas special called Tinsel Town for Sky.

Because I’m busy but not tearing my hair out busy, I cracked out a few old cameras to play with this weekend. So far this LUMIX TZ40 my wife bought donkeys years ago is my favourite. Not sure I’d trust it commercially but for fodder for instagram it’s great.

Anyone else getting loads of adverts for crew cab pick up trucks at the minute?
I’m guessing it’s because they need to shift them all before April hits and they become ‘cars’ in terms of tax rules.
Either that or one of my devices knows better than I do.

Finally hit the swap to @octopus.energy & almost immediately get a call from our current provider offering an EV Tariff & 15p/kWh export that we’re aiming for with Octopus… maybe if they’d made an effort beyond keeping us on standard variable despite knowing we had EV and solar we might have stuck

There’s a golf SDI on auto trader, I honestly loved the SDI. You were never going to accelerate quickly but it felt like you could tow a lorry with it. Genuinely love me a non-turbo diesel

Well that’s new, they’re projecting out beyond 2040 now! Always had to be very careful with giving flood risks

@sniffpetrol.com please excuse the quality of the photo as I was trying to be sneaky. There are a few VWs around Wetherby with lit up VW logos, is there a batch of incorrectly coded ones, have the rules relaxed or are the people who live around me good at VW coding?

I’m not the strongest but I’ve been doing squats a lot more lately. I’ve got limited movement in my left ankle due to an old injury so my form isn’t great.
