I have a visceral hatred of racists, but I reserve my deepest contempt for the descendants of immigrants and refugees who would deny others the same opportunities her ancestors enjoyed, without which she would be nobody. I look forward to the time she is a nobody.

I’ve long been a “spotter” of difficult-to-parse headlines, but thank you for letting me know they have a name: crash blossoms! This is an example of a different phenomenon, where the quote marks are doing a LOT of heavy lifting (This is Gloucestershire website).

Why is the US still happy to have a close relationship with the UK? What does Trump want? A golfing resort? Access to European intelligence? We should recognise the US is now Russia’s ally and our enemy and cut all ties.
